Bodywisdom Privacy Policy 

The law relating to data protection changes on 25th May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force.

Please read the following carefully to understand how we will treat and regard your personal data. By ‘We”, we are referring to the directors and tutors of Bodywisdom and Bodywisdom DK Fiona Smith and Nicola Smith.

YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We would like you to be informed about how we collect and handle your personal data. This includes your name, email address or social media identifiers, phone numbers. In other words, it covers any and all information about you that is capable of identifying you.

Under the GDPR we are ‘data controllers’ of your information. We are called ‘controllers’ because we make decisions about how your data is used – for example to prepare marketing materials – and we also ‘process’ your data when we carry out basic activities like storing, deleting and changing the information that we hold. We take our obligation to protect the information you give us very seriously, and we always take care when using and processing it.

COLLECTING, USING AND STORING YOUR DATA
We collect the Information that you provide by filling in forms on our website (which includes requesting further services.). This information is sent securely to our email addresses is currently stored on password protected accounts with GoogleContacts or Mailchimp and may include your phone number, name and email address.

If you contact us by letter or email, records of the correspondence may be kept securely with our email provider which is Google. Our computer logins are protected with a password.

If you call us with an enquiry about our services, your telephone number and name is stored on our respective telephones which are secured with a passnumber.

If you are a personal client, register for a workshop or training course, then we either collect your confidential personal information in person or via Googleforms. If via Googleforms, we print this data, delete the GoogleForm and store the hardcopy in a locked filing cabinet. This  information will be kept for the duration that is required by the terms set out by our respective Insurance companies.

If you are "case study" with a student practitioner of Bodywisdom, then your personal data will be shared with us and treated with the same confidentiality and security as our own personal clients and students. This information will be kept for the duration that is required by the terms set out by our Governing Body the BRCP. 

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. We will not share this information with anyone.

USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION
To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or that we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
To carry out our obligations arising from any agreements entered into between you and us.
To notify you about changes to our service.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may disclose your personal information in confidence with the other member of our team, Fiona and Nicola Smith.

You have the right to opt out at any point either using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of all newsletters or to email us with the words UNSUSCRIBE. If you unsubscribe your information will be deleted from the mailchimp account and GoogleContacts but if you would like to be deleted by other means then please contact Fiona in Denmark or Nicola in UK.
